Tap the Masses 88Nine Radio Milwaukee & PBR Milwaukee Present:
The Constellations w/ special guests Quiet Corral & TBA
Club Garibaldi's Saturday March 23, 2013 9pm $12
The Constellations, astute purveyors of Atlanta's rock/soul underbelly, will be returning to Milwaukee for the first time since playing the Marcus Amphitheater on Vans Warped Tour. This time they'll be playing their first ever show in the Bay View neighborhood at the very intimate Club Garibaldi's. They will be touring in support of "DO IT FOR FREE"the follow up to their acclaimed debut "Southern Gothic." Led by Elijah Jones, and featuring Wes Hoffman (bass), Travis Phillips (guitar), James Gordon (keyboards) and Shane Hoffman (drums)the band reinforce their reputation for hard swinging alt beats but have honed their musical outlook concentrating on muscular grooves and a more soulful melodicism. Produced by Andy Rose, the swirling funk anchored by the B3 and Fender Rhodes Organ provides the perfect backdrop for the band's trademark gritty songwriting. Known for their live show, the band recently finished up a tour with Matisyahu.
Quiet Corral is a six-piece band from Lawrence, Kansas. The band incorporates folk and pop elements into their music to create a distinct sound. With four-part harmonies, electric guitars mixed with acoustic instruments, and intricate rhythms, Quiet Corral makes something new and interesting for music listeners. Singer Braswell Roberts weaves melody with narrative adding depth to an already captivating sound. The band is currently recording their debut full-length album.
